If your business has more than one branch, a location button sits in the top bar next to the theme and notification icons. It starts on All Locations and lets you narrow the dashboard down to a single branch.

The button only appears when your business has two or more active branches. With a single branch there is nothing to switch between, so Qtap hides it. Add branches under Settings → Locations.

Pick a branch

Open location switcher menu listing All Locations, Al Sadd Branch, The Pearl Branch, and Add Location

The switcher menu: All Locations (1), one entry per active branch (2), and a shortcut to add another branch (3).

Your choice sticks. Qtap saves it in the browser you are using, so the dashboard still opens on that branch tomorrow. It saves per browser rather than per account, so the phone at the counter and the laptop in the office can sit on different branches. If you wonder why a number looks low, check the button label first.

What the switcher changes

Picking a branch rewrites two tiles on your dashboard home: Stamps Issued (or Points Issued) and Rewards Redeemed. Qtap counts only the activity recorded at that branch.

All Locations: member counts (1) and activity counts (2) cover the whole business.

One branch: the member tiles hold steady while the activity tiles (2) drop to that branch, and Qtap says so above them (1).

On the Analytics page, the Top Performing Staff chart follows your branch choice. If you run stamp cards, the headline metrics, the stamps chart and the peak hours heatmap follow it too.

What it leaves alone

Plenty of the dashboard ignores the switcher, and knowing which parts saves you a wrong conclusion:
  • Total Members and Active Members. Members belong to your business as a whole, so these counts always cover everyone. Qtap prints a reminder under the greeting when a branch is selected.
  • The Recent Activity feed on your dashboard home.
  • Your Members, QR Codes, Campaigns, Redemptions and Staff pages. These lists always show the whole business.
  • The points figures on Analytics if you run a points program, along with the AI panels, Churn Risk and Best Customers.
Branch and all-branches numbers are counted two different ways, so do not read one as a slice of the other. Across all locations, Qtap totals the stamps or points themselves. For a single branch, it counts the visits recorded there, so a visit that awarded five stamps counts once. The branch figure is nearly always the smaller number, and adding your branches together will not match the all-locations total.
Activity also has to carry a branch tag to appear in a branch view. Stamps and points issued before you added your locations, or through a QR code with no branch assigned, still count for the whole business and drop out of every single-branch view.

For real branch-by-branch reporting

Three of the four detailed reports, Points Activity, Revenue Impact and Staff Performance, carry their own All branches filter, sitting on the page rather than in the top bar. It works separately from the switcher, so setting one does not move the other.

The Staff Performance report has its own branch filter, independent of the top-bar switcher.

The fourth report, Location Comparison, has no branch filter because it puts every branch on screen at once, with stamps, points, redemptions, members served and estimated revenue for each. Use it to compare branches side by side rather than one at a time.

Who sees which branches

Owners and managers see every active branch in the menu. A staff member assigned to specific branches sees only those, and All Locations means “all of my branches” for them. Branch assignments live on each team member’s record, covered in Location-based staff access.
